Hmm... I guess it's time to commit again...

I don't know where you are Randy's Donuts, but I WILL FIND YOU!

Ok...actually, the caption on flickr says it's in Inglewood, CA... so no... I probably won't be finding Randy's Donuts.

I'm afraid that my diet has consisted of far, far too much grossness lately. And it hasn't all been my doing... or at least my obtaining. It has been offered to me. For instance, just yesterday, I was offered 3 pieces of cake, a piece of pie, and a giant cinnamon roll. Sadly, yes. I ate all of these things. They were delicious. But not great for my poor body. I also have bought donuts more than I care to admit of late. My point? It's time for me to slow down on the junk food and speed up on the exercise.

I fully intend to work out every day Monday through Saturday again this summer. I felt so good at the end of last summer when I had done that, so I'm totally doing it again. Hopefully I'll do better in the food department than I did last year, but I will at least be matching my effort in the working out department.

Just needed to make that official so that you all can hold me accountable. K, bye.

Squash

I want you all to know that I'm the proud carver of a pumpkin that displays in block-letters the word SQUASH.  It's pretty cool.  It's probably on fire by now as I left it with a candle a-burnin' on my porch before coming to work tonight.  I carved it at family home evening.  Fun stuff!

(If I ever get a picture of it, I'll throw it on here. OH!  And while I'm in these parenthesis, I'm going to need to post the pictures and videos from the adventure Spencer and I had the other day.  Let's just say it involves a very scary bridge and a hilarious encounter with a goat.  Ok, I'm leaving parenthetical statements behind.)

Ugh.  I really want to write good stuff on here tonight, but I'm having a sugar crash and my mind is quite blank.  So you're going to get random crap.

I'm doing fantasy football and my season of fantasy basketball will be coming soon, too.  I don't really know why I like it so much, but I do.  Another of the many unexplainable things about me.  I'm currently in fourth place in my football league.  Too bad I'm into "fantasy" sports right now and not real ones.  Ever since Spencer and I started fishing I've been SERIOUSLY neglecting my workouts.  I don't play racquetball anymore, and I'm not lifting weights anymore either.  So basically in the couple of months since school started, I've lost everything that I worked so hard on during this summer.  It's sad.  I wish muscles stuck around longer than they take to build up.  Perhaps if I can manage to get my life in order I'll at least start running again.  That would be muy good.

My hands smell like pumpkin.

K, see ya!

Wednesday Weirdness/Exercise Update/and Just Jeff...

Rat races

So I am not going to accept anyone mocking me for actually missing Wednesday by a couple hours for my planned Wednesday Weirdness, but I'm calling it that ANYWAY! The BBC is reporting that rats understand the concept of gambling. Apparently they've discovered rat casinos under Las Vegas. No, but really, there was a study on rats where they could win big or small if they sniffed around different holes(the rat version of slots?) of four different holes. (They're gambling with food.) But they would also lose big on the same holes that paid out big, and they'd lose small on the same holes that paid out small. The rats over the time of the experiment apparently understood that they'd get more by taking their chances with the holes that had smaller payouts and punishments. So rats get gambling. They understand it. They get that they should not risk their food supply foolishly. Hmm... why don't PEOPLE GET IT?!! Actually, the article continued to explain that for people who've had damage to their frontal lobe or something like that they don't stop going for the risks that have higher payouts and very high losses. Apparently a healthy portion of the human race have damage to their frontal lobes because Vegas is quite the thriving city. Anyway, that's Wednesday Weirdness.

I'm still exercising! Woot. It's been 4 weeks now. While I'm actually a bit heavier than I was when I started, I think it's actually muscle weight. (Audible gasp!) I've been measuring my arms and I've actually added an inch to my biceps/triceps. Cool, eh? Not really, it just means that they're active for the first time in their lives! While I'm proud of muscle gains, I haven't lost fat. Why? I still eat junk. Yes, junk. I dig through the trash. No, but I might as well be with how unhealthy the stuff is that I eat usually. I need to eat better. Less fat. Yup.

Hi. I'm just Jeff. I seriously love "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" I could watch this show for days on end. I always watch the re-runs on ABC Family. Anyway... I had a great day. I finally got to play racquetball again. My Georgia Atlanta Mission friend just moved up here from Arizona and he and I went to play. It was fun. I lost of course, but I'm the kind of person that can still have loads of fun even when I lose. K bye.

LSAT Usage

I finished my DVD course and now I'm just practicing all weekend until the big show. I was laughing so hard because I was reading the requirements and what you're allowed to bring with you and they only let you bring a little Ziploc bag with your stuff in it. I even would have to put my wallet in there with my pencils and stuff. It's pretty strict. Anyway, wish me luck. I'll need it.

Exercise update: Yes, I've actually still been working out EVERY DAY (except Sundays) since I started my most recent exercise regimen. This is probably the longest I've ever lasted! (I think I'm to almost 3 weeks, haha.)

About the picture above: It struck me as humorous. I wonder what will become of my 5 or 6 LSAT books.

Yeargh! My family room reeks of popcorn, but it doesn't smell buttery, it doesn't smell good. It's weird. My niece and nephews were eating it in here today.

Wow, I bet this is one of my MOST fascinating entries ever.

I was going to stop, but then I decided to write about "UP." I saw it yesterday, and I really like it! I have to be honest, I've never seen a Pixar movie that I didn't like. They are very talented folks!

Well, I'll see you later. This entry should've ended a LONG time ago. Um... k bye.

Happy Wednesday Thoughts Day!

Well, it's Wednesday Thoughts Day... time for some thoughts!

I enjoy the feeling of getting a job even more when I have had a hard time getting one. Yes, I officially have a job now. I will be working this summer doing Account Creation (Data Entry) for Pinnacle Security. I'm pretty happy just to have a job finally. It was especially nice when they asked, "Are you okay with working Saturdays?" Instead of the comment everyone else would say, "Now, we are open on Sunday, so you'll have to work Sundays." It was also a bonus when they told me that this was "just" a seasonal position. That's "just" what I wanted! Good stuff.

I've never stuck to a workout regimen longer than a few weeks before, but I think this one is actually for real. I'm uber sore. I have two workouts that I alternate each day, and they each workout different muscles, so after working out today and yesterday for the first time in a while, I'm sore ALL OVER! It feels good though to have worked out hard enough to get me to this point, so I'm determined to stick with this. Wish me well!

Thought Three: I'm hungry. I've realized that these thoughts are not at all profound, nor do they seem like my normal thoughts. They're really just more of me-updates. Sorry I'm not a great blogger, but thanks for reading anyway!
